Rediscover Your Dreams

Explore our spectacular articles, read our online courses, and discover a community who lives and loves massage.

We believe massage is more than a series of pokes, prods, and squeezes. It is an art and a science. Those drawn to our profession are spectacular souls who radiate hope and live to help others. We are guides and mentors who seek to sprinkle peace and tranquility into each second. The best of us respect and value the virtues of empathy, creativity, and humility. They give goodness for the sake of goodness, live with love, and make the most of every moment.

At our core we seek to help every massage therapist discover peace, to become who they have always wanted to be, and achieve their dreams. Most of our articles and resources are free because the people of our industry are suffering. They need community, guidance, and love. We are here to help you fly like a dove, discover how wonderful it feels to live your purpose, and enjoy your career as a licensed massage therapist.

Academy

Suround yourself with Love

In the world of massage, we need to be surrounded by love, life, and delightful things. Sometimes we need a shoulder to lean on, a place to rediscover peace, and ease our weary woes. Many facilities boil and burn like battery acid, they eat away at our insides until our spirit weakens and our smiles slip away. This isn’t ok. As a massage therapist you should love helping people every day. You should feel your spirit rise into the sky as you fly toward the heavens above. Every moment at your spa should feel like you are wearing a perfectly fitted glove made of love.

Your leaders should inspire you. Their presence should lighten your load and encourage you to float. You should be working for a clinic because you adore the team, enjoy the tranquility, and feel free. As massage therapists we must ‘want’ to stay because it is our perfect place of peace, the career of our dreams, and the team that helps us feel complete.

At Jennifer Brand we offer these delightful things, but you don’t have to be a part of our team to feel welcome. You can join us as a professional peer. We will teach you things for free because it is what our professionals need. We will mentor you when your heart feels too weak to beat and rebuild your spirit so you may once again fly high into the sky.

We love massage and the wellness professionals who give their heart to help others. If you are an LMT who needs guidance, positive vibes, or some time to simply talk, feel free to reach out.

Who is Jennifer Brand Academy?

Jennifer Brand Academy is a place for students and massage therapists to explore their trade, expand their knowledge and find ways to feel wonderful. We aim to help create a bastion of hope and inspiration for those seeking to experience a successful career in the amazing field of massage therapy.

We believe knowledge should be shared, goodness needs to be given, and when we work together everyone can win. It is our goal to help you on your journey, to illuminate your path and serve as your lantern bearer and mentor throughout your career.

Jennifer Brand Academy exists to provide insight and wisdom to massage therapists and wellness professionals. We believe our abilities are gifts, they are beautiful blessings granted to us so we may share, cultivate, and use them to enrich the lives of others.

 Core Philosophies

  • Massage is an art and a science. It is only through the harmonious union of the two that we can masterfully share our gifts with the world.
  • An amazing massage is built from the core virtues of Empathy, Creativity and Humility.
  • Each second of a massage should either be spectacular, or a transition leading to a sensation that is spectacular. This requires the elimination of junk moves and time-wasting techniques.
  • The practice of massage should be tiered into three professional levels: Apprentice, Journeyman, and Master.
  • Our industry needs a culture, and it is our responsibility as professionals to create one. We can no longer rely on professional organizations sponsored by insurance companies to dictate the direction of our industry.
  • We must come together as a community. Time must be invested in one another, even if we work at different spas and clinics. Ultimately our skill level is the sum of the collective, it is better to be an amazing massage therapist in a sea of spectacular therapists than in an ocean of OK practitioners.

Our Industry Should be in the Hands of LMTs

As massage therapists we need to unite under our own banner. We can individually invest in the advancement of our industry outside the influence of the professional organizations. We do not require a monolithic machine employed by people who have never performed massage. We can steer the direction of our profession with people like you, loving souls who are spectacular, incredible, and bold.

The changes that must occur cannot happen in the hands of legislators and boards. It starts with a handful of committed passionate souls who live and love massage. People who want to build a better future for those who strive to help others live their highest quality life.

Inside your spirit is a force capable of overcoming anything, you are amazing and strong. If we join forces, we can foster the perfect professional environment.

HOW DO WE ACHIEVE THIS AS MASSAGE THERAPISTS?

The first thing we need to do is determine which issues inflict the most misery on massage therapists and build causes around them.

We all have passions for different pains, these feelings form the building blocks of each cause. These alliances can be small, it only takes a couple people to create great change, but every action should be infused with empathy, creative exploration, and humility. We need to look beyond the emotional heat of the moment to help ensure our causes lead to harmony instead of hurt.

These groups must be temporary teams focused on completing specific tasks. They are not lifelong paths; you must step away from time-to-time to immerse yourself in the golden light of life. Walking fiery roads for too long will burn away the cool components of your soul. It will rot your spirit and tear out your ability to give and feel love. As massage therapists we serve as a guiding light to help others with their plight. If we become the element of fire, we will burn everything around us. Remain a nimbus light, explore how it feels to provide a guiding light, and know when to step away.

Burnout in our industry is a serious thing. Far too many are washing out at an early stage. Preserve your precious energy by refraining from giving more than you can grant.

CAUSES

There are causes that immediately come to mind when we think about the pains ailing our industry. Over time we can find ways to work on resolving them, but each must be approached creatively, empathetically, and with humility. We must see farther than our feet, dig deeper than others have before, and talk about the potential problems our causes may create.

Once we have compiled enough data, we can build educational services to help licensed massage therapists navigate the complex circumstances surrounding each significant issue. These are a few I think are important causes to explore.
